With a lathe and some time, you could make a reasonable facsimile. This is a slightly neglected NOS one. Guess I should keep it in the safety deposit box.

Thanks Cyborg. Appreciate the pics as I was wondering what was going on inside, with if I could make one similar. Quite a robust design really. Like you say, I'd have thought you may have one of the very few left Cheers

A Velocette component on pre-war and early post-war gearbox linkages. If you want to avoid US and metric threads, look for part number GC35 at suppliers like Grove Classics.

Thanks Gerry, they certainly looks great. I've emailed them to see what size thread is on the rod side. Hopefully 5/16 bsf! Cheers

Why don't you put an advert in for sale/wanted, There must be hundreds under the bench of older members, Of the "B" type gear linkage if that is what you need.
Cheers Bill.

Cheers Bill.
I wasn't sure if they were available or had a different use elsewhere so I could track some down after searching for a while.
Cheers

I had a quick look , I thought I had seen some somewhere,
I think I have a more modern pair on a rod I tried on my L/ning rep',
But found them a bit too weak,
I think I made something a lot more heavy, Sort of flat steel and nut and bolt with washers,
But not standard looking.
Cheers Bill.

I got the wrong Bike :D Memory problems !,
But is this like you want ?.

I think I have seen front brake levers used with the small stainless pivot block,
Used from the rear brake rod ?, May have been me !,
The serrated bit matches the gear serrations I think.

Hi Bill, I'm not 100% sure if the pic below is original Vincent, but something period looking.
Cheers
