Hi @akewe I measured two, type DVR, and three, type D6V Miller dynamo's today; and got five different readings. The field coils range from 2.6 to 3.9 ohms. The resistor ranges from 3 to 7 ohms.

If you're looking to differentiate the two, connect a 6V battery across each pair of wires and hold a hacksaw blade near the shoe. The field coil will generate an evident magnetic field.
