So straining my brain the view could be seen as taken from an imaginary position just above the rear cylinder looking towards the non existent back wheel (as thats the only perspective when you would see the clutch on the right)in which case the layshaft is on the wrong side
to repeat what Normanski said at the start Am I right?

It is a mirrored image.

This is the mirrored image of the photo above. The part number stamped on the cam (A1E219) is now backward.

Even stranger its two mirrored images from two different sources of two different products!
