Hi All,

I had a sample inner and outer cometic gasket made in their AFM material a few thousand miles ago. These gaskets have allowed me to run oil in my gearbox with good success.

I can now present other comet owners with the parts numbers. Please feel to order and try them for yourself if you wish.

Inner Gasket is EC2 189SP1 018AFM

Outer Gasket is EC2 188SP1 018AFM

Best,

Eugene.

Thanks Eugene. Can you tell us how thick they are, especially the inner one? I'm just a bit concerned about excessive end-float on the shafts?

the AFM material is .018” thick. I believe that is the smallest size in that particular material.

It is a soft material and does crush up a bit. It seems to work just fine in my post war box.
