Many thanks John,
This was stamped on top of the T/side Crank case !,
But I have sanded it off now and tried to polish the cases , To look nice,
Only a guess on my part,
A bit worried what hardness they would be from a bearing shop ?.
Just trying to have a bit of fun, I may be a bit old for these games now !.

Hello Bill, Have 10 new 3 by 5mm rollers and a large amount of used ones. These have measurable wear and probably fit only as decoration.
According to the spares book 135 is correct for the Comet. End float is important but the outfit crowded roller set up has more clearance than it should and has lasted 30 years. Another interesting thing is that rollers old and new are about 0.05mm under size John .

Thanks John, Didn't know the spares had them,
Maybe more easy to send off to them,
I found the numbers, Amount of rollers, In Whitakerpedia at the bottom of This Forum opening page,
Interesting reading for us all ?, Maybe newer members also ?,
It also says they were graded !,
Maybe the end play will be OK if I hone it out a bit, The rod was So tight !,
Don't know how he got it on !.

Did you know Mick ?, I thought I found a bit about him having a BIG Comet,
If you look at my photo, It looks like 624 cc was stamped over 654 cc, Over to Simon :) ,
I Googled him and there are nice photos, But I can't find the writing I found before ,
I remember his name from me being in the N.S.A. 1970 Sprinting,
He was in the Hill Climb Section ?.
All The Best, Bill.

THIS Forum, Is full of Information !, Super.
Just came up this morning, "Riders Roll of Honour",
That was in MPH 700,
I knew I had seen it somewhere !,
Mick Farrant , With passenger Peter Dade 1970 TT , 750 Class,
Using a 654 cc Comet engine in his outfit.

This is another reason I bought These Comet Cases,
It seems nobody worked out what MFV ment , An advantage of getting OLD !,
I always wanted a BIG Comet, But also the history interested me, Didn't pay a lot for these !.

I would have thought there would be more interest on here about the , "Maybe Vibrac Con Rod",
But I must be part of a "Dying Breed" , Shame !.

Hello Bill, I had forgotten about the 750cc sidecars in 1970, We were there for our honeymoon. Something must have distracted me. John.
