The Green Spark Plug Co. in the U.K. might know. They used to have a lot of old K.L.G. plugs. Otherwise, being in Canadia, ask a local Froggy; it might be French for "suppressed plug". They invert adjectives and nouns, y'see.

It is, everyday is a school day.
I apologise for my humour in advance of forthcoming posts....
The sun is out the roads are dry, I shall be venturing out today on a little run on the Comet.
First run of 2023 had my knee fixed last Thursday and it feels fantastic.

I have an interest in hearing about knees, what did you have fixed last Thursday that enables you to ride today, nothing to major I presume.

When we last met I was in some discomfort.
Some ligament damage.
You may have noticed by unique starting and wrong side bike mounting style..

About 18 months ago I was leaving a friends bike back to his place and long story short stopped and stuck my left foot down right into a hole in his yard, tried to stop the heavy bike falling over by twisting and rotating my leg and pushing into the bike, then a loud pop and severe pain.
Ministry of funny walks time.
I had bust something so couple of days later off to a knee specialist.

Scanned and found, ACL torn 75 %,PCL torn 75% and for good measure MCL one end ripped off the bone and the now free end stuck in my joint.
During this time was still walking but quite uncomfortable.
Was given choice of major operation with consequences or to wait and mind it with view to a much less invasive future procedure.

I opted to wait as option one was scary and would have left me unable to ride and laid up for a long time.
Mean time had scans to monitor the healing, did not heal much over a year or so, had a keyhole procedure to repair the two damaged ligaments and clean out the joint and re attach the MCL.

In to hospital Thursday morning under for two hours, out Thursday evening, walked and moved an hour after coming round, been on it ever since feels great, fully mobile but still minding it for a while.

Plus side surgeon said knees are in good nick should last me out and fit for kick starting a 747 after around ten weeks.
Feels great but has made me think how a put up with it for so long like a switch being turned off constant discomfort/pain gone.
Cracker.

Wow, I am beyond admiration, I had 2 x total knee replacements in January 2022, and was riding my Comet in May, when it gave me one hell of a kick back when leaving a West London Section event, and then we enjoyed a months motorcycling holiday on my Rapide, with electric start two up in June.

But I am so impressed with your rapid recovery, (I hope you are not doing to much to soon) looking forward to a chat at the Far Far North Rally.

Cheers Peter

Yes indeed. I notice a lot of our street signs now read i.e. 25th Street East, rather than East 25th Street as they used to read. I fear the French are taking over. Please understand I know some lovely French persons of character but yet again will most likely never eat frogs legs. Thanks Everyone ! Alyson
