Hi All,

I had a few NOS felt filters, I have soaked one in new oil to use. The question is would you use it in your machine after a long time on the shelf?

What’s the general preference of owners felt filters or single use filters?

Cheers

Pros/Cons.
Felt filters were what was used by Vincent "back in the day" and they provided better oil filtration than most other manufacturers who just had a gauze filter. They are messy to use/clean.
Modern single-use filters are cheap, throw away, efficient and used by virtually all manufacturers today.

Better keep them NOS, Gene.
And use the one way paper types.

With the felt end washers on them to seal in the mostly bad machined bottom. Not the hard plastic seals....

The put true of them is bigger than the felt ones. As there is less resistance.

Easy to check.
