ET: Engine (Twin) Exhaust Washers

I need new washers for my exhaust pipe/ cylinder head joint. The club lists two types, I assume one is a composite type as it's more expensive. Minimum spend is £20.00 and I don't want anything else at the moment. Question is - which are the best type and is there another supplier ? Thanks

The £20 is just through the web site, I bought some shims the other day over the phone just fine.

The copper/ non-asbestos ones need a re-tightening after first reaching operating temperature, the fibre? cheaper ones usually don't. However, best go over all fittings on the exhaust after the first run.

I use Norton Commando seals

These are an alternative. $17 YSD, They have two very small locating tabs that can be easily ground off.

Best not to use washers. File the flange face flat and a smear of Fire-gum.

The Suzuki gaskets are crushable.

Like Ernie sayed ,no washers and I have no smear ,nothing and it works. Beside that the nut is deeper in the thred of the head and the heat disappears better.Erik
