We were the only classic/vintage bike in the race and managed a 4th place overall against the F1 and F2 sidecars.
Great effort.......always enjoyed the comradeship of the sidecar boys.......I found swinging was very gut wrenching, especially when your sidecar and solo races where back to back.......not enough time to change your boots.......Amazes me how the clutches handle all the extra load imposed on them........And the moderns don't suffer the same lack of tire grip as the older machines.......we always gave the crowd a bit of a laugh with the third wheel off the ground through some corners and drifting madly.......All great fun.

May put the cat even further among the modern pigeons if the next engine makes a bit more power now the new lubrication system is well proved after a full seasons racing , just the little job of machining the new castings when you get 10 mins .
