G: Gearbox (Twin) Kick Start

Hi, any one out there had problems fitting a new G83AS and G46 with engagement,
Mine keeps locking up when trying to engage and have tried putting a leading edge on G83AS
to try and help by grinding a slight slope to the first two teeth but this doesn't help.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Dave,
I have looked into that matter after lots of stories here. You have to have a pointy first tooth on the quadrant and ALL of the G 46 pinion teeth should be reasonably pointed. If not so, a Dremel or diamond file will help for reducing any remaining flat tops on teeth. Slopes do not help here. Look into my YT clip about same matter on a BMW kickstart gear to get an idea about what´s important.
