Looking to replace the bearings in the G2 plate.

Not sure how the lockring is located, initially I thought this would have been screwed in but it does not seem to come out when turned so now thinking this is a press fit

Grateful if someone can confirm how it is to be removed so I do not damage anything by trying to do it incorrectly.

The lockring is definitely screwed in right hand thread i.e. anit-clock to undo.
Should be locked by two split pins. But may be Locktighted by previous owner heat and a good wack should get it moving.

Something like this or a homemade version with heat would give some leverage and avoid buggering the slots.

Yes was locked by two split pins.

The lock ring is free to move, I have turned it two turns anti clockwise but does not appear to be moving out. I thought I would have seen some movement by then

Is it a fine pitch thread?

Will try to unscrew some more
