Interesting option. How and where do you fit that switch? Looks like the type mounted into the brake lever mechanism on a number of bikes (there is a similar one on my late model Royal Enfield Bullet). I am not sure how I would fit one onto my original brake lever mechanism. My Brampton forks do not have that nice plate behind the balance beam or even the bolts that hold it in place as shown in an earlier picture. Nearest existing bolts for an extra bracket are those holding the speedometer mounting bracket up at the top of the forks.

Hi John, this switched the microwave's light on when the door opened. Works fine as a brake switch. Cheers, Stu

Hello John, I will use a power feed from inside the head light,
I drilled a tiny hole in the balance beam for the spring.
