G: Gearbox (Twin) Five Speed Gearbox, Clutch Shaft and Carrier

So while sorting things out on this end I’m 99.9% sure you need to get the C3/2 and the other 2 parts if your shaft is the later D version.
I have the original clutch shaft and the C3/2 is not compatible, so I just ordered a C3. I solved the mystery of why I’m slow going insane. I originally ordered a C3 and was sent a C3/2 in error.

I’ve ordered C3/2 and C20/1
Of course I have a spare C3 (lightened and machined for O ring) I’m not using..
When you check VOC spares site you’ll find there is an adapter for the G3 shaft so you can use C3/2 with better D style o ring with the D nut.. yes in the D section for parts you found the G3/1…
“Into the Millennium “ page 136 Bill Parr shows picture of C3 and C3/2 also a good description of parts you’ll need with it etc..
This messing with old bikes and trying to modify/improve is a real pain.. and you can’t just pop out for parts.. I’m waiting for new C3/1 and nut.. My bike needs to be ready for The Quail in May and the British meet at Van Duesen in May also.. actually I just want to ride not turn spanners!

Thanks for the photos.
Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of Into the Millennium. Too late now… this is my last major Vincent project. Good to know about the adapter, but at this point its probably 6 of one half dozen of the other. Either way, I have to wait for parts and I can exchange the C3/2 for the C3. I’m not sure I give a rat’s #$@* anymore about the %0# D@&#
o-ring.
