I believe the Cometic gaskets are only available from America and are not imported into the UK I have one that was given me on the timing side of the Comet it works very well I have to say.
I am using the doughty seals from Neil Videan that also work well.
All the above need to be made easily available in UK the problem with imports is the additional charges by our post office currently an £8.00 handling charge and then customs duty at 20% added to any purchase over £35.00

Yes its availability has been tried by companies as well as individuals here but like a lot good stuff from US companies when you have a market as big as that you hardly need too worry about the UK.
You only have to go round a hardwear store like Harbour Freight in the US and compare it to a so called Hardware (read paint & Pots emporium) like B&Q to see who has the engineering buying public nowadays and I may add (with shame) even a French Bricolarge is miles better than the general offerings in a small town in UK.
