Does anyone know what E82V (ET62 part No. is cast on) might mean stamped inside the dynamo cover on a Slater Egli? Never taken any notice of it before. Probably nothing, it doesn't seem to apply to the bike in any way.

This a crankcase mating number, the timing, primary, atd and dynamo covers were all matched to the c/cases and stamped with the same number.

Howard, that is the mating number from a 1954 C Rapide. The engine was last reported to be in New Zealand but that was over 30 years ago.
