I have found a pair of Vokes Filters which are pretty rusty but solid and looking to refurb.

Question is does anyone know what colour they were originally and what paint to use to refurb

Did a bit of search, found they were supposed to be a dark grey hammered finish, just now got to find the paint

I think that hammered or mottled looking finish would be hard to replicate, at least it would be for me. They also came in black. These are all NOS.

I was going to say that, But thought it was too simple, I bought a 1963 Mk 10 Jag, Painted all over in that,
Not nice, And a Begger to get the paint off.
But the Car was cheap, £300 about 1970 ish.

Now that's interesting, the ones I have are very rusty but do show signs of a black paint which does not appear to be a hammered finish so will look to go back to that.
