Misc: Electrical (General) Series 'A' Ground Connection

Doug and I have question concerning the wiring harness. There are two studs/bolts/points of connection on the frame within reach of the ground connection of the wiring harness. Did the factory choose one over the other or was it up to who ever happened to be assembling the machine and which one was considered easiest to reach at any given moment?

Hmmm. I just re did my wiring harness (new from spares with some mods by me) and the original one on my '52 Rapide was grounded at the left rear underside of fuel tank on the oil tank. Near the battery. Not sure if this helps, but sometimes any info is good info.
