Frame Series ‘A’ by Toolbox - Any Ideas?

Evening All,

I've been hunting without success for a toolbox for the restoration of my 1938 Series A Comet.

It's the single large item I'm now short of with no sign of a solution yet.

There was a chap who made a batch of 6 around five or six years ago and sold them on eBay. I've been in touch with someone who bought one and was pleased. I've been in touch with the chap who made them...James (haven't got a surname) who'd indicated he would make me one but no reply to the last few messages.

Anyone got any ideas of how I can go about getting this large item needed for the restoration?

If it’s anything like the pillion pads we had made - we ordered eight originally, and then another half dozen I think.

There’s always a market for this stuff.

I did enquire about underwriting the manufavture if 6 and he wanted around £300 each. However as I said, James has stopped replying to me so I don't think it is progressing hence looking for other solutions.

I'll remember your interest though.
