I was once accused of being a boring old fart as I gave the lads a chance to go ashore for the evening and I would look after the ship as my wife had just flown out to Gothenburg and willing to stay on board but the second engineer thought I should take my wife ashore and wine and dine her, that's when he called me a boring "Old Fart"
I had one apprenticeship HM Dockyard Devonport, one motorcycle after my BSA bantam & Douglas Dragonfly then one employee Elders & Fyffes for nearly 40 years, one wife, one house, so stick to decisions I've made during life & very satisfied.

At the last count I have a modern generator, a modern carb, avo suspension, modern tyres and electric start. They, as far as I can see, only enhance my enjoyment of a machine built when quality was still a watchword of British industry.
With you all the way Tim. Cheers, Stu.
