Contrary to the illustration in TASL Sheet 22, I have assembled E221, Valve Lifter Link, in my Comet engine "pointed end upwards." I chose to do this to aid assembly. Split pinning the ends while the other way up was more difficult that split pinning and lock-wiring a BAE Strikemaster nose undercarriage!
It doesn't appear to foul anything else, yet.
Can anyone suggest a reason why this might not work?
