Some time ago the petrol tank on my Comet was given a new lease of life with new paint and transfer overhaul. I didn't have a hand in the choice of paint professional, so I can't go back to him/her .
However, according to Eddie Stevens book of 2003, the wrong transfer was applied to the tank. The transfer that was applied was for bikes after 1952, whereas my bike is 1951.
This may seem like a small difference to be of concern, but it may as well be correct.
And the tank has suffered some scrapes and scores in the years since,, so it is in line for an new paint job.
Any suggestions on who to approach to do the work ?
