Thanks for that chaps. It is possible, but I can't put it stronger than that, that as the inserted bit sticks inwards, out of the ally outer plate, the pushrod might even be long enough. Its tough to design bits without access to where is it going to go. Will still need someone to make the one part.

That's the good thing about using 2 rods and rollers,
You can add or take away rollers to get what you need .
I have played over the years with different plates,
When I was Racing, I used Hand cut Commando Bronze plates, on my Comet.
