Alloy welding ?

That`s a lot of money for just getting the numbers Simon, especially as you`d catch them out.

1. Evidence of more than one old welding job
2. mating numbers missing

Those rods do work quite well on small items. I used them to dress the alloy door handles on my vintage car. I have seen an expert "weld" a crack in a float bowl. They are not a structural weld but with a bit of practice you could fix those splits in your mudguards.

Well this proved me Wrong, You can weld/solder both sides !. Cheers Rigsby.
