Here is the result of running a conventional 4 stroke motor on E85 which is available NOW at most fuel stops across Australia.

note a very small improvement in combustion efficiency and a MASSIVE 41% increase in fuel consumption.

read more about it here http://agronomy.emu.ee/vol122/2014_2_1_b5.pdf

So maybe its time to buy one of those cheap Indian tanks, slice it horizontal and weld in a very wide strip of metal to increase capacity so that once we are forced to E85 we will still have a decent range before we need to refuel.

Oh and if you do the math on cost per mile (and not per Gal) the E85 is more than double the cost of regular fuel.

If E85 is double the price why not put H/C pistons in your Bike and run on Methanol, or do you need H/C pistons for E85 I know you have to put in larger jets for Methanol.

With that nice big flat area on a Vincent tank top............Think of the nice solar panels you could install. Leave it out parked in the sun when not in use and you can put some electricity back in the "Grid"..............You can even strap some to the top of your helmet............For older riders you can power your "defibrillator" from it if needed.

For negative owners, Car makers are making the latest cars to ran on batteries and very low octane fuel. fuel that a motorcycle will not run on , so next move service stations only ran for a profit so where are we going to get our fuel from !

Problem solved, send all your Vincent Here well look after them for you.

After reading the Victorian Section survey in MPH 829, it appears that David Bowen is behind the curve when implying Australia doesn't need to worry about bureaucrats. Smugness has no place in this argument, legislation will affect all of us, there's no hiding place.

So are you now saying you WON'T be able to look after our Vincents after all?
As I said, it doesn't matter where you live the bureaucrats are after you.
