E: Engine VINCENT timing cover logo - black background or not?

I looked in Original Vincent for guidance, but didn't see any. There are photos of paint and no paint on the timing cover.

Oh its definitely non standard Bruce, thats why we do it! just to keep the post '55 traditions alive

Just to stir things up; I have also seen the logo done in gold or black and gold. Wonder where that idea came from. Both looked good to me.

Here is a picture of the black and gold one. Also on the tappet covers etc. A very nicely presented bike and it is not mine.
