Vincent Chopper

Every time I go to VOC meet every Vincent I seen there seems to be none standard in some way and making a chopper out of a Vincent does not mean altering the engine in any way and every thing is bolted to the engine any way and makes it a ideal engine setup to use on a project after all they were used in target drones and if you keep the parts it is not rocket science to put the bike back as original as you found it. just one big jigsaw puzzle.
It would mean a new section in the MPH if this fad catches on

At least it might be ridden a bit more than some collectors bikes I know about.
A prime example of a fully functioning bike unused is the Black Shadow built for the club with care and lots of effort a decade ago from new parts. That has sat in a NZ museum ever since, except in that case it was even shunned by members and collectors and a old Rapide in the same auction sale made more. (At least it covered its cost)
If anyone ever thought that legislation apart some mad millionaire would start making Vincents again that fact should sober them up.
Ride em dont hide em!

If you want a Vincent chopper you donate the engine and I'll take the Triumph out of mine, put the Vincent engine in and we'll share it. Yes it does handle and yes a Vincent engine will fit, tried one in nearly 40 years ago.

I sort of like the Vincent chopper look and wonder how it handles etc some thing I would consider building if I had complete spare twin engine and would be some thing I would like to own beats a Vincent trike any day.
The way thing are going I may just rip my 1951 Shadow apart and make it into a chopper for the hell of it.
My brother has Comet engine in 650 BSA Twin frame and rides it about daily.
i ll come over and fettle it, maybe it goes like stink....:D

sorry I do not need yet another pre unit engine as I have the basis of three pre unit engines and two complete pre unit triumphs one a 1957 thunderbird a 1950 speed twin hand painted black with accompanying rusty bits and a 1936 Val Page 5/5 the last two are on the road and are used because the Shadow is playing up atm with the normal oil leaks bits falling off and still to be timed with a repaired mag with a spark this time around.

A bit hard to beat this one in a "Screwed Up Mess Contest." Brian bought/saved it from some Gypsy Joker gang member.
