Patrick Godet is running plain B/Ends I'm about to venture in that direction with an "A" Comet as it has a much greater loading area and an oil p/p of much greater capacity, although not much pressure as it p/ps to an open roller system.
The gear type "A" scavenge p/p is 1/4" wide and supply is 1/8" wide, uring on the side of caution I've in-creased the supply by half as much again by machining 1/16" deeper and making gears to suit. The floating bush idea Royal Enfield used for years as they just had grooved center and radial holes to outer faces, I have made additional herring bone design grooves to with in 2 mm from the edge of the bush, other wise pressure is lost.
Tremendous saving in cost too, just grind old pin precision grind rod eye and make bush to suit £20 for a nice bit of bronze ,couple of days work with whole lot of job satisfaction, 9 months I waited for my last B/End to be dunned.

The "How critical are the rear cylinder oil feeds" thread has lots of posts about alternative oil pump arrangements so I have started a new thread and moved some posts to this thread. For some reason, an unrelated post from MartynG has appeared at the start of this thread. If I remove it the thread disappears so ignore the first post. (Apologies to Martyn. )

I can see why the Grokkels in charge of Esso did not let you Cornish men get hold of Ethanol free petrol there would be no stopping you lot then.

I'm fitting a Honda pump that will mount in a new extended steady plate. No cover
modifications will be required.

Interesting mod..............I feel the pick up points where the oil enters and leaves the pump are very important. Is the extra oil pressure being delivered to the entire oil system or to the cams/followers only.

Please follow up with more pictures, my self in process of using a bigger capacity p/p same style but suction line to be bigger coming out the side of c/case up underneath timing cover to p/p suction, discharge is then put straight into filter chamber so all oil is filtered, restricting oil to B/End if still using rollers and remove jet to cam oil so keeping a good pressure there,
