U know, how to check sparking under compression? Just fit a strobe light with external battery and
kick, while u press the start button on the strobelight. If it flashes, there is a spark inside under
compression. May well b, that u need more than 2 hands....

Use a colour-tune and you will see the spark inside the cylinder, and when you get it running will be able see the combustion colour to help set the pilot mixture.
I'd be lost setting up my twin without them.

i lened on the kick starter once and it started but cut out mine had gardner carbs and 9to one comprshion i now its not your bike but try this n4c plugs or n5c c for copper core you must off testted for spark then see iff the points on the mag are opening and closing 1000 grayed sandpaper between points about twice make shore earth wire is not erthing out on frame that is iff you got a mag fitted.fuley addvarnce the mag. choke full on tickel both carbs untill petrol comes out but befor this make apsalootley shore to put in new fule you might have to clean carbs out .you might have tried all this just wondering mick

Stick a fan heater on the floor aimed at the underside of the crankcase.
Leave min 1 hour.
Then try.

We are camping with the VMCC this weekend but we can come over the weekend after, 16th or 17th June.

I just wish to thank b'knighted for coming and helping me in person to get the bike timed and every one one else who gave there advice online and on the phone.
I am very grateful and also thank those who gave moral support but I have now have mothballed the Shadow because of personal circumstances.
