mileage expectations

I was unclear in last post, I was inquiring about mileage between engine rebuilds. Is 50000 a reasonable expectation? thanks to all. cheers

I rebuilt my D in 1976 with Perfect Circle rings for a Chevy LUV, new bearings all around and a new Alpha big end. Did a valve job about 3 or 4 thousand miles ago, just to put in sealed guides. Lost a tooth on 2nd gear idler in 2002, but other than normal maintenance it's got about 84,000 miles on it. I must admit, that I try to never abuse it, or cruise over 70.
