For those who have followed the New Godet Grey Flash information that has been posted on the forum, the photo of the left hand shift Flash that was recently built is the very bike that is now in the hands of Luis Gallur in Australia. Luis and Patrick have worked incredibly hard to get the bike ready for Phillip Island. In a wonderful gesture to Patrick Luis had the name of Patrick's late wife "Sylvie" placed on the bike. Sylvie and Patrick had stayed with Luis several years ago prior to her death.

Directly above is Australian rider Levi Day, who will be riding the Flash along with Cam Donald.

The good news is that Cam just qualified the new Flash at "P1". A fantastic accomplishment for all involved.

Look up all the race times on computime click on 2018 results for Phillip Island Classic. All the Vincent's seem to be going very well. Levi Day is an extremely quick rider............Even Phil Canning on my old racer is going ok, Qualified fastest in the "Classic Unlimited" class, he will be out early tomorrow for his first race there. My fastest lap was 2:04 whereas his qualifying time was a 1:59 He'll be down to 1:55 or better by the end of the event. Plus the Irving Vincent's are also going ok........2 bikes in the International challenge plus the outfit. Interesting to see Cam Donald has taken to the Vincent marque in a big way.........He is from the same small town as our legendary Phil Irving..............How ironic is that...............

Thank you David. I have no reason to argue. When Luis sent me the photo last week I asked him who it was and he mention Levi Day. He was the right size!

Yes ,not your fault David . These bikes are a real credit to Patrick he is a real maestro . Cam Donald passed me at a track day at the island on Patrick's bike .unfortunately the R1 I was on could not keep up !

Here is another shot of Levi and some chap. Ironically the lad in the middle looks like the lad in the photo above. Apparently he burnt his had on an exhaust pipe ! I think most Vincent owners would be sympathetic to this . Levi won one race and came 2nd in two others on the Godet Vincent . He said the bike is great to ride . A real credit to Patrick keeping the Vincent name alive

Update of race results for the weekends racing................In the 500 classic ( 1946 to 1962 up to 500cc) Cam Donald on the Vincent Grey Flash came First. In the Classic Unlimited (1946 to 1962 up to 1300 cc) Phil Canning on the racer I owned/built came First. Post classic (1963 to 1972) Levi Day came 4th but had a DNF on his last race, all three previous races he had come first, Cam Donald again on an Egli cam 11th after a few issues. In the Unlimited Post Classic Beau Beaton came First on the Irving Vincent (won all four races) and in the sidecars in the Forgotten Era class again Beau Beaton and passenger Noel Beare came First on the Irving Vincent outfit...............Oh.........And to top things off..........the Australian Team including Beau Beaton won the International Challenge. What an excellent weekend of racing for the Vincent's and their riders/teams at the Island Classic.....................Well done to all..............:):):).

Indeed. I thought it looked like Jeremy Burgess too. If correct he does know a thing or two about racing as he was crew chief/mechanic to several multiple MotoGP world champions. Besides Rossi there was Spencer, Gardner and Doohan.
