Assuming that you still have the rear stand on your comet, what's the big deal? Use the rear stand for wheel removal, chain and brake checking and adjusting, center stand for easy parking.

Not a real problem. I just think the rear stand is awkward.
It is so easy to put the bike on the center stand, I'd really rather not use the rear.

I guess i am just lazy.

I shall be working on the forks this weekend I will block up the front and use the rear stand unless I had another block under the center stand (difficult) I could not get the height the rear stand is just another technique to learn

I roll the Bike's rear wheel, Back onto an 1", Or thicker, Bit of wood to make it more easy.
My Back is another part of my body that is in trouble !.
Cheers Bill.

This AM fitted Avon SM 3.50 x 19 as direct replacement, it was notable how squishy the rubber was compared to the old.

Generally my 'weapon of choice' is the trusted TT100.

Quite happy with the past performance but wanted original look, would have considered a 4" section, do thEy make that in a 19"?

Don't forget to get your new tire scrubbed in and not in the wet unless you want to be doing 9 yard strides down the road: been there, done that 8o/

sorry, I wasn't being clear, my rear is a 19" (ooh, matron! etc, etc)

the latter is in response to those who have pointed out previously that I have a sense of humour failure.

A 1" thick piece of wood is a better idea than welding on the center stand pads.
Thanks for the suggestion.
