I wear an old ‘pudding basin’ helmet at times on the outfit only. It has a kite mark. The laws regarding new helmets are not retrospective so is legal.

Phelps, you could be pinged in NSW for that helmet of yours.
I wore one similar for the 6 years that I lived up there with out hassels. Also In the times i have been back all has been good. Now I have put the mockers on me. But as Vibrac in England says, if I buy a helmet that is legal at the time of purchase, is it then illegal further down the track? If that is so then how come we can still drive 1950s cars and motorcycles on the roads to day?

No need to quote, when there are no subsequent posts, your normal reply is fine. IMO, quoting is overused.
